Spring Revival Lip Balm

Perfect For:

Skin That Feels Dry, Dull or Depleted After Winter: Months of cold weather, indoor heating and hot showers can leave skin feeling tight, rough and harder to keep comfortable. Spring Revival gives skin back that rich, nourishing feel, without feeling as heavy as a winter balm.

Anyone Who Loves Tallow But Wants Something Lighter: Made with 80% grass-fed beef tallow and 20% carefully selected botanical oils, this formula melts more easily into the skin, spreads beautifully and leaves a softer, silkier finish.

Dry or Dehydrated Skin: Tallow helps support the skin barrier and reduce moisture loss, while avocado and apricot kernel oils help soften, condition and keep skin feeling supple for longer.

Dull or Tired-Looking Skin: Green tea seed oil and blueberry seed oil bring naturally occurring antioxidants and essential fatty acids to the formula, helping nourish skin that has been through a long, dry winter.

Skin That Changes With the Seasons: The skincare that feels perfect in the middle of winter can suddenly feel like too much once the days become warmer. Spring Revival was created for that in-between season, when your skin still needs nourishment, but you want something fresher, lighter and easier to wear.

Anyone Who Prefers Simple Skincare: No water, no synthetic fragrance and no unnecessary fillers. Just grass-fed tallow and a small selection of oils chosen specifically for the way they nourish the skin and change the feel of the finished balm.

A Tallow Made for the Change of Season

Your skin doesn't stay the same all year round.

After winter, it can still feel dry and depleted, but as the weather warms, the thick, heavy products you reached for through the colder months can start to feel like too much.

That is exactly why we made Spring Revival.

We wanted to keep everything we love about tallow, the richness, the nourishment and the way it helps protect dry skin, while making the finished balm feel lighter, softer and more suited to spring.

The base is still 80% grass-fed beef tallow, so you are not losing the ingredient that does most of the heavy lifting.

The remaining 20% is a blend of avocado oil, apricot kernel oil, green tea oil, blueberry seed oil and bergamot essential oil.

Together, they completely change the way the tallow feels on the skin.

Avocado oil gives the balm richness and softness without making it feel overly heavy.

Apricot kernel oil helps it glide over the skin more easily and gives the finished tallow a smoother, silkier feel.

Green tea oil adds lightweight nourishment and antioxidant support.

Blueberry seed oil brings essential fatty acids and a beautifully light, silky texture, even at a small percentage.

And bergamot gives Spring Revival its fresh, bright citrus scent that makes the whole formula feel like the change of season it was created for.

Rich enough to comfort dry skin, nourishing enough to carry you out of winter. But softer, silkier and lighter to wear as the days get warmer.

Spring Revival is the tallow you reach for when your skin still wants nourishment, but winter skincare is starting to feel like too much.

Limited edition for spring.

Why It Works

Winter can leave more behind than temporary dryness. Cold air, low humidity, indoor heating and hot showers can increase moisture loss and disrupt the skin’s protective lipid barrier. The result can be skin that feels rough, tight and depleted, with a complexion that looks dull and less vibrant.

Spring Revival was formulated to replenish what winter-worn skin needs to function at its best: protective lipids, essential fatty acids and antioxidant support.

- Replenishes the Skin’s Lipid Barrier
A healthy skin barrier depends on lipids to hold water within the skin and protect it from the outside environment. When these lipids are depleted, moisture escapes more easily, leaving skin increasingly dry and difficult to keep hydrated.
Grass-fed beef tallow makes up 80% of Spring Revival and provides a rich source of fatty acids including oleic, palmitic and stearic acids. Applied to the skin, these lipids soften dry surface cells and form a protective layer that helps reduce transepidermal water loss.

- Restores Essential Fatty Acids
Not all fatty acids play the same role in skin.
Spring Revival combines tallow with avocado, apricot kernel, green tea seed and blueberry seed oils to create a broader fatty acid profile than tallow alone.

Apricot kernel oil provides oleic and linoleic acids. Linoleic acid is an essential fatty acid involved in normal skin barrier function and helps support soft, supple skin.

Blueberry seed oil contributes linoleic and alpha-linolenic acids, bringing omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids into the formula.

Avocado oil is naturally rich in oleic acid and provides deeply conditioning lipids that help soften rough, depleted skin.

Together, these oils give the skin a diverse mixture of lipids to condition, soften and support the barrier as it recovers from winter dryness.

- Helps Defend Dull, Stressed Skin
Winter skin does not only need more oil. It also needs protection.
UV exposure, pollution and normal cellular processes generate reactive molecules known as free radicals. When they accumulate faster than the skin can neutralise them, oxidative stress occurs. Over time, oxidative stress can contribute to visible dullness and premature signs of skin ageing.
This is why antioxidant support was an important part of Spring Revival.
Green tea oil, blueberry seed oil and avocado oil naturally contain antioxidant compounds including tocopherols. These help provide additional defence against oxidative stress while the fatty acids in the formula nourish and condition the skin.
Instead of addressing dryness alone, Spring Revival supports both the barrier on the outside and the environmental stress skin is constantly responding to.

- Supports the Skin’s Natural Renewal
Healthy-looking skin is constantly renewing itself. New cells form beneath the surface, mature and eventually replace older cells above them.
Spring Revival does not exfoliate or artificially force faster cell turnover. Instead, it supports the environment this natural renewal process depends on.
A compromised, dehydrated barrier can leave the surface looking rough and dull. Supplying emollient lipids helps smooth those dry surface cells, essential fatty acids support normal barrier function, and antioxidant compounds help defend the skin against oxidative stress.
As the skin naturally renews, this combination helps support a complexion that appears smoother, softer, fresher and more radiant.

- Four Botanical Oils, Four Different Roles
Each oil was selected for a different contribution to winter-depleted skin.

Avocado oil delivers rich conditioning lipids and naturally occurring antioxidants.

Apricot kernel oil provides oleic and linoleic acids while leaving skin soft and supple.

Green tea oil provides lightweight fatty acids and antioxidant support.

Blueberry seed oil contributes omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, tocopherols and a beautifully silky finish.

Using them together creates a broader mixture of fatty acids and antioxidant compounds while allowing tallow to remain the dominant ingredient.

And because the formula contains no added water, every application is a concentrated blend of tallow and botanical oils rather than a moisturiser made predominantly from a water phase.

Spring Revival addresses the effects winter can leave visible on the skin from several directions at once.

Tallow replenishes and protects.
Essential fatty acids support the skin barrier.
Antioxidants help defend against oxidative stress.
Emollient oils soften rough, depleted skin and support it through its natural renewal cycle.

The result is more than temporary softness.

It is a formula created to help dry, dull, winter-worn skin return to feeling supple, resilient, smooth and visibly revived.

How To Use

• For Skin: Take a small amount, warm it between your fingers, and massage it into clean, slightly damp skin. Focus on dry or problematic areas like fine lines, redness, or scars.

• For Hair: Use as a pre-shampoo mask for your scalp or as a leave-in treatment for split ends.

• For Beard: Rub a pea-sized amount into your hands and work it into your beard and the skin underneath for hydration and softness.

Skin Experience

Our 100% tallow formulas - like Pure Tallow Glow and Vanilla Infused Tallow - are dense and firm by nature. These recipes contain no carrier oils or additives, which means the texture is harder but melts directly into the skin on contact.

If you prefer a softer, more spreadable consistency, our balms made with added carrier oils (like Radiant Repair and Balancing Beauty) are whipped to be lighter, silkier, and easier to apply.

Each product offers a different skin feel, all intentionally formulated for different needs and preferences.

Frequently Asked Questions

Beef tallow is rendered fat from cattle, rich in vitamins A, D, E, and K, as well as essential fatty acids. Its composition closely resembles the natural oils found in human skin, making it an excellent moisturiser and skin barrier protector. In skincare, it’s used to deeply nourish, hydrate, and support skin health without synthetic additives.

Beef tallow has a low comedogenic rating, meaning it is unlikely to clog pores. It helps balance natural oil production, making it suitable even for acne-prone skin when used correctly.

Our beef tallow comes from a trusted local farm in Sunshine Coast, QLD. The cattle are 100% grass-fed, homegrown, and raised without hormones or antibiotics in a natural, stress-free environment. This ensures our tallow is nutrient-rich, ethical, and sustainably sourced.

Absolutely! Beef tallow is excellent for facial skin, providing deep hydration without clogging pores. It’s especially beneficial for dry or sensitive skin and can even help soothe conditions like eczema or rosacea.

Store your Fat Lab skincare products in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Our products are shelf-stable but keeping them at room temperature or cooler will ensure maximum freshness.

Unlike shea butter or coconut oil, beef tallow’s composition closely mimics human skin, making it more easily absorbed. It also provides a unique balance of vitamins and fatty acids that are particularly effective for long-lasting hydration and skin repair.

Yes, we use 100% grass-fed beef suet fat as the base of our skincare. Suet is the clean, hard fat found around the kidneys and loins of healthy, grass-fed cattle, known for being nutrient-dense and exceptionally pure. When it’s slowly rendered, it turns into tallow, a rich stable fat naturally packed with vitamins A, D, E and K, as well as conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) and essential fatty acids that closely mirror the oils our skin produces on its own.

We choose suet because it creates a higher-grade tallow that’s cleaner, lighter and more stable than other fats. It absorbs effortlessly into the skin, delivers deep nourishment without synthetic additives, and supports the skin barrier in a way no plant or synthetic oil can. In short, suet is the gold standard of animal fats and the reason our tallow performs the way it does.

Our beef tallow is carefully rendered and refined to remove impurities and odours. While it has a mild, natural scent, we also blend it with essential oils or botanicals for a pleasant aroma in our skincare products.

Our beef tallow is not halal-certified. We source our suet from a small, local Queensland farm that raises 100% grass-fed, hormone-free cattle, but the animals are not processed under halal certification. While our products contain no pork or alcohol and are made from pure beef fat, we do not market them as halal.

Why Your Body

LOVES Tallow

It mirrors the skin’s own lipids

Tallow’s fatty acid profile closely resembles the fats found in healthy human skin. That similarity makes it easier for the skin to recognise and integrate, rather than treat it as something foreign.

It supports the skin barrier.

Tallow reinforces the lipid barrier that controls moisture loss and protection. When the barrier is supported, skin becomes calmer, more resilient, and less reactive over time.

It delivers fat-soluble nutrients the skin actually uses.

Naturally occurring vitamins A, D, E, and K are fat-soluble, meaning the skin can access them effectively when delivered in a fat-based form like tallow.

It provides long-lasting hydration without water

Because tallow is anhydrous, it doesn’t rely on water that evaporates quickly. It reduces moisture loss by sealing and supporting the barrier, leading to hydration that lasts.

It’s highly tolerated by compromised or sensitive skin

Skin that struggles with irritation, over-exfoliation, or chronic dryness often responds better to familiar lipid structures. Tallow is rarely disruptive when formulated and used properly.

It works with skin biology, not against it

Tallow doesn’t stimulate, exfoliate, or force change. It supports normal skin function, allowing the skin to repair, stabilise, and regulate itself.
